Performance initiated in 1993, finished in 2015 ''Prisoner on a whim ''

''My entire, here only partially presented creativity in the area of drawing indicates the remarkable paradox of its full erasure and marginalization on the Montenegrin cultural scene in the last 28 years. My conscious commitment to reside and create in a country where there is either locally or on a national level no reward for a very important artistic discipline such as drawing, every petition and request that I sent for possible publication activity that would follow or at least to some extent present my work was rejected. Nonexistence of galleries that follow thematically the discipline of drawing, nonexistence of even a course for postgraduate specialization in this discipline, drew my attention to the need to expose everything which can document this paradox as a performance of special temptations and difficulties that this work possessed.

Its concept was created as a unique gesture or manifesto to renunciation, through spontaneous and luxuriously incarceration in the cell of state borders of my country (MNE), in which to a prisoner is not provided even a basic meal if he persistently and non-commercially deals with artistic vocation in the area of drawing, as art practice. Cell where even the sky (in the period 1992-2015) became a prison window to the authors who have persisted in their own uncompromising drawing expression and commitment that define their work. Duration of this performance was introduced with a number ''23'', as a specific numerological aspect regarding my life, as well as an average serving of the toughest sentence for murder on the territory of our country.

The performance started with my first publicly presented exhibition at the Gallery of Contemporary Art Center in Podgorica, held on 18 September 1992, and was completed with publication of the smaller part of my work on this site. It will, at least partially, explain the scope and thematic units of research with which my art deals in the frame of childhood and its symbols for almost 30 years. Every further positioning of my work on the international scene will be the basis of developing the theoretical content of aspects that this complex and in many ways specific performance initiates’’.
